When recording a live show, a full complement of mics is fed to the remotely controlled preamps of the Studer  D21m, situated near the stage, keeping analogue lines short.

An electronically isolated split of each input is available on an XLR breakout loom to feed the PA, if required.

A hybrid cable carries up to 64 channels of audio in both directions between the D21m and Pyramix via optical MADI, and remote control of the Studer preamps via RS422 over copper.
